Phil Brereton
 
Phil has been employed in the field of weapons examinations and servicing for 23 years.  During that time he has served as a weapons technician within the Royal Air Force, and has been employed by BAe Systems in a similar capacity.  He has also been employed by the Royal Air Force as a civilian contractor, engaged in the servicing and modification of service firearms to the correct Air Force specification.
 
From 2003 Phil has been been employed by the UK MOD as a Firearms Instructor at the Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering at RAF Cosford.  His responsibilities include the provision of instruction on the servicing, modification, repair and management of all in-service firearms issued to RAF personnel, in addition to non-standard weapons that may be encountered by them.
 
Phil has taken formal studies in Ballistics, Forensic Ballistic Investigations, Firearms Classification, and Forensic Firearms Investigations.  He has appeared in court as an expert witness in firearms cases.
