John's forensic career commenced in 1981; in 1988 he opened
his own practice, and from 2005 he has been progressing towards the present trading style of Forensic Engineering Solutions.
The dynamic behind this change has been to meet the ever increasing demand for a broader range of expert, a range no one person
can service.
He holds a Masters Degree in Forensic Engineering and Science from
Cranfield University (Defence Academy, Shrivenham); a Diploma in Mechanical and Production Engineering, and a Certificate
in Forensic Road Accident Investigation.
John's pursuit of knowledge has taken him into the arenas of forensic ballistics - as applicable to
pedestrians and motorcyclists as to bullets and other projectiles - to crime scene evaluation, biomechanics, tyre construction,
and to the interests of forensic pathology and eyewitness psychology.
John has given evidence extensively over the years in both civil and criminal courts. He regularly gives
talks and lectures on the topics of road deaths and related incidents.
